Desarts

Sir Bani Yas Island, Dalma Island and Discovery Islands all Known as “Desert Islands”. Sir Bani Yas Island will boast a the Arabian Wildlife and Safari Park, the Desert Islands Resort & Spa managed by Anantara , Five star luxury Arabian camps, Nature- based adventure activities and game drives, Bird sanctuary and Walking trails and canoe rides. Dalma Island will boast Traditional marina village, Culture and heritage centre, Town centre, Museum and Desert Islands Education Centre. Finally, Discovery Islands contain Exclusive island retreats, Ecological reserve for marine life, Two islands reserved for existing breeding grounds for birds and turtles, Two islands devoted to exclusive resorts and Camping ground.
The destination will consist of eight islands and an onshore gateway providing a multitude of experiences encompassing a nature reserve, a cultural destination and a showcase for world-class environmental and conservation tourism, including the Arabian Wildlife Park, with one of the world's largest herd of Arabian Oryx. A unique multi-experience tourism destination, the Desert Islands, being developed off Abu Dhabi's western coastline, is the culmination of the rich natural heritage and eco-vision of the UAE’s late President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The Desert Islands comprises the former Royal nature reserve of Sir Bani Yas Island, Dalma Island and the Discovery Islands – six nearby offshore outcrops, all of which will be linked by a ferry and hydrofoil service, water taxis, private ‘resort’ boat service and regional and sea planes. The overall sustainability strategy of Desert Islands is being developed jointly by TDIC and Masdar, the Abu Dhabi Government’s new advanced energy and sustainability initiative. The Discovery Islands and their surrounding seas, rich in marine life, are aimed at being a world class example of environmental conservation and ecological tourism.
In conclusion, I think this project is good because it takes care for Animals, plants and the life there. But, I think the project will help to reduce global warming because one of the companies that will develop the island is Masdar company.
