The destination will consist of eight islands and an onshore gateway providing a multitude of experiences encompassing a nature reserve, a cultural destination and a showcase for world-class environmental and conservation tourism, including the Arabian Wildlife Park, with one of the world's largest herd of Arabian Oryx. A unique multi-experience tourism destination, the Desert Islands, being developed off Abu Dhabi's western coastline, is the culmination of the rich natural heritage and eco-vision of the UAE’s late President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The Desert Islands comprises the former Royal nature reserve of Sir Bani Yas Island, Dalma Island and the Discovery Islands – six nearby offshore outcrops, all of which will be linked by a ferry and hydrofoil service, water taxis, private ‘resort’ boat service and regional and sea planes. The overall sustainability strategy of Desert Islands is being developed jointly by TDIC and Masdar, the Abu Dhabi Government’s new advanced energy and sustainability initiative. The Discovery Islands and their surrounding seas, rich in marine life, are aimed at being a world class example of environmental conservation and ecological tourism.
In conclusion, I think this project is good because it takes care for Animals, plants and the life there. But, I think the project will help to reduce global warming because one of the companies that will develop the island is Masdar company.

My opinion

In my opinion it was great because, the major one it talk about the reality and our life in the future. This movie was scientific more than political, because it talked about serious nature problems and many facts. It was presented by Al Gore who was the vice president of the United States of America and famous politician. He wanted the world to know about the fact that collected over many years for the world to realize what they are facing and call them to act to save our environment by saying all the facts about the causes and solutions of what we can do in many ways to save the earth.

He talks in the move clearly what cause the global warming? It’s the CO2 from the earth and greenhouse gases. He uses the evidence in movie to show us and to believe that now we see the impact of global warming. In addition he used in movie pictures from the environment and what they like look before and after the global warming, to add more the movie shows how we rise the temperature and how it fit with the CO2 today and what it will be the level of CO2 next 50 years. Some people might political movies because Al Gore wants to be president of US, but I think it’s scientific and it talk about serious and big problem that will be the disaster for the world and especially the US. He was great to give us the massage about global warming and what we have to do about it

An Inconvenient Truth

An Inconvenient Truth is an American documentary film about global warming, presented by former United States Vice President Al Gore and directed by Davis Guggenheim.[2] The film premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and opened in New York and Los Angeles on May 24, 2006. The film was released on DVD by Paramount Home Entertainment on November 21, 2006. A companion book by Gore, An Inconvenient Truth: The Planetary Emergency of Global Warming and What We Can Do About It, reached on the paperback nonfiction New York Times bestseller list on July 2, 2006. The documentary won Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature and for Best Original Song.

Gore also supported the funding of a satellite called Triana, to increase awareness of environmental issues and to take the first direct measurements of how much sunlight is reflected from the Earth. During his 2000 Presidential Campaign, Gore ran, in part, on a pledge to ratify the Kyoto Protocol.

The film received a generally positive reaction from critics. It garnered a "certified fresh" 93% rating at Rotten Tomatoes (as of May 21, 2007), with a 94% rating from the "Cream of the Crop" reviewers. Film critics Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper gave the film "two thumbs up". Ebert wrote: "In 39 years, I have never written these words in a movie review, but here they are: You owe it to yourself to see this film. If you do not, and you have grandchildren, you should explain to them why you decided not to.

The global warming

Global warming is a serious problem facing the world which causes an increase in the earth's temperature .It’s also effect everything around as. Scientists have different opinions about the global warming some of them said its natural and the other it’s from human activities. In this essay, I’m going to talk about the causes and effects of the global warming and after I will give some solutions.

Firstly, Global warming is caused by several causes such as pollution from factories, carbon dioxide, the burning of natural gasses and fossil fuels lead. Another cause is that because of the green house effects. The green house effect is a major cause of global warming because it burns other gases that the earth need. Also fewer trees mean less carbon dioxide which also increases the temperature and the toxins in the air.

All in all, there are many solutions to reduce global warming. First, we should use Less Heat and Air conditioning because that increases the emission of gases, Change a Light Bulb, Drive Less and Plant Trees.
